Resident Artist Masterclass

This invitation only opportunity will give you an exclusive look into the training that happens as part of the Resident Artist Program! Mario Antonio Marra, Director of the Resident Artist Program and Head of Music, will be hosting a reception and masterclass featuring the 24-25 class of Resident Artists

Enjoy some wine and cheese at the reception before taking your seat in the intimate Jones Studio. Each resident artist will perform a classical piece from their repertoire, selected by Mario, and they will proceed to have a working session on the piece. After the masterclass, ask any burning questions you may have about the Resident Artist Program, the training you just witnessed, or anything else that comes to mind during the Q&A!

About the Resident Artist Program

The MN Opera Resident Artist Program offers a full season of employment for talented artists beginning their professional careers. From September through May, Resident Artists gain valuable experience through mainstage productions and community performances, while refining their skills off stage and mentoring with guest instructors and staff. Masterclasses with guest clinicians, individualized language work, acting, and professional career development are just a few benefits of the program. The program is designed for artists in the early stages of their performance careers.
