Giovanni Viewing Recipe Page

These fun food and beverage recommendations are inspired by Seville, the setting of Don Giovanni. This city in southern Spain is home to delicious cuisine reflective of its mixed heritage. We’ve selected a few simple dishes to try at home.

  • Espinacas con garbanzosmeaning spinach and chickpeas, is a traditional tapa in Seville. This savory and comforting stew lifts the spirits.
  • Berenjenas con miel de caña, or eggplant with molasses, is another traditional tapa. Use molasses or try it with honey.
  • Serranito bocadillo, the classic a serrano ham between crusty bread. Think of it as Seville’s version of a fast-food sandwich. A bocadillo is always made on long, tubular bread such as a baguette.

  • Sip some traditional sangria with your meal. We recommend Surdyks for the red wine OR a pre-made sangria to make it easy (Surdyks offercurbside pickup too).

Don’t feel like cooking?  Order Brasa Rotisserie for pickup or delivery from one of their two locations in the Twin Cities.
