USPS has implemented a change. As usual, donations must have a postmark by
Dec 31 to be counted in the 2025 calendar year, however,
starting December 24th, postmarking will take place at regional processing
centers and for some areas, this process could take several days.
To avoid delayed mail processing before Dec 31, hand your envelope directly to a USPS employee and request one of the following:
A manual postmark: Ask a post office employee to stamp/postmark your envelope with the day's date;
A “postage validation imprint” (PVI): Purchase a PVI label that states the mailing date; or
Certificate of Mailing, Registered Mail, or Certified Mail: Purchase one of these types of mail or services that confirm the mailing date.
