PAGLIACCI TRAFFIC ALERTS
Please be advised that MNDOT has reached out to share information about an upcoming full closure of I-94 in St. Paul. This closure is needed so crews can pour the concrete for what will become the new John Ireland Blvd. Bridge. This work has been moved up to help ensure the bridge is complete ahead of the Twin Cities Marathon this fall.
Happening this weekend: Full I-94 closure
Beginning at 10 p.m. Fri, May 15, westbound I-94 will be closed between I-35E and Dale St., and eastbound I-94 will be closed between I-35W in Minneapolis and I-35E in St. Paul starting at 11 p.m. It will reopen by 5 a.m. Mon, May 18.
During the closure, westbound traffic will be directed from northbound I-35E to Hwy 36 to southbound I-35W due to the closure of Hwy 280. This detour is the same in reverse for traffic heading east.
Westbound ramps onto I-94 from Marion St. and W. 5th St. will remain open throughout the weekend.
