Thomas Sandborgh

Born in Saint Paul, MN and raised in the East Metro suburbs, Thomas Sandborgh has built a distinguished culinary career grounded in passion, discipline, and deep commitment to hospitality. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Twin Cities, Chef Sandborgh began his journey with an internship at the North Shore Turtle Bay Oahu, Hawaii; an experience that shaped both his craft and his perspective.

He went on to hone his skills at Hazeltine National Golf Course before beginning an 18-year tenure at the iconic Saint Paul Hotel. There, he plays a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for some of the region’s most high-profile events and guests.

Chef Sandborgh’s career highlights include executing large scale and prestigious events such as U.S. Amateur Golf Tournaments, Starkey Foundation Galas, the Republican National Convention, and Super Bowl LVIII. He has had the honor of preparing meals for dignitaries like the King and Queen of Denmark, multiple U.S. Presidents, and world-renowned entertainers including Prince, Cher, Oprah Winfrey, Carrie Underwood, and Robin Williams.

In addition to headline events, he has been trusted with deeply meaningful occasions; high-end weddings, celebrations of life, and charitable galas. He has also supported community and military efforts, such as feeding the troops before deployment.

Today, Chef Sandborgh is a vocal advocate for mental and physical health within the hospitality industry, promoting wellness and resilience in an often-demanding profession.

He is a devoted husband to Dana Sandborgh and proud father to two sons, Connor, and Evan.
