Nathan Romportl
Tenor Nathan Romportl made his Minnesota Opera role debut as Bee Yang’s brother in the world premiere of The Song Poet and has been a member of the MN Opera Chorus in La bohème, Cruzar la Cara de la Luna, and The Daughter of the Regiment. In 2022, he covered the role of Charlie Silver in the world premiere of Requiem for Frankie Silver, an ORPHEUS Music Project production. During the 2021-2022 season, he was a soloist with The Mirandola Ensemble on their recent commercial recording of The Infant King. He also performed in several projects with Consortium Carissimi, most notably as featured soloist in their production of Carissimi’s Jephte and Jonas.
Nathan can currently be heard as a Schola soloist at Holy Family Catholic Church, where he has been featured as a tenor soloist in Faure’s Requiem, Schubert’s Mass in G, the Evangelist in John Stainer’s Crucifixion, and the Evangelist in Charles Wood’s St Mark’s Passion.
