Kelley Rourke

Kelley Rourke is a librettist, translator, and dramaturg. She has written librettos for three operas for young people: Wilde Tales, with composer Laura Karpman, and Odyssey and Robin Hood, both with composer Ben Moore. Collaborations with composer John Glover include Lucy, Natural Systems, and Guns N’ Rosenkavalier. Kelley’s work has been commissioned and performed by English National Opera, The Glimmerglass Festival, Washington National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Scottish Opera, and Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, among others. She is the resident dramaturg for The Glimmerglass Festival and Washington National Opera. Current projects include a new English adaptation of The Cunning Little Vixen for The Glimmerglass Festival and original works, with John Glover, for On Site Opera (NYC) and Milwaukee Opera Theatre.
