Jesse Cogswell

Jesse Cogswell is a freelance lighting designer based in the Twin Cities. He has previously designed for Minnesota Opera’s 2013 Project Opera (Shoes for the Santo Nino, Down in the Valley, and Noye’s Fludde). He has also served as lighting coordinator for Manon Lescaut (2013) and as co-lighting coordinator on The Marriage of Figaro (2017). His recent design credits include In the Heights for Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Red Velvet and Hatchet Lady for Walking Shadow Theatre Company, mONSTER for Swandive Theatre Company, Tapestries 3.0 for Threads Dance Project, Time to Burn for Red Bird Theatre Company, and The 1968 Exhibit and Somalis + Minnesota exhibit for the Minnesota History Center. Jesse holds an MFA in Lighting Design and Technology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
