Alessandra Bongiardina
Alessandra Bongiardina (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist, currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In addition to intimacy direction, Alessandra is an actor, writer, fighter, and director. She is trained with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators, and was recently accepted into the Level 3 Cohort for Live Performance where she will continue towards her certification as an intimacy professional.
Her intimacy work has been seen at the Guthrie Theater, Thunder River Theater Company, and the University of Minnesota. As an actor her work as been seen at the Guthrie Theater, Park Square, and Wayward Theater Company. Alessandra is a graduate of the University of Minnesota/ Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program, has trained with the Globe Theater Education Program, and was in the inaugural cohort of DirectorWorks which seeks to train directors from underrepresented groups in theater leadership.
As an intimacy professional Alessandra feels lit up by: those crunchy places where we so often grow, helping artists cultivate their own embodied consent practices, and staging joyful queer intimacy. As a theater maker and performer she has a passion for physical storytelling, heightened texts, and finding new ways to holistically engage audiences.
