Event Vision

Beyond the Gala: An Experience in Four Acts promises a night like no other – and you are invited.

Taking inspiration from MN Opera’s new production of Carmen, directed by Denyce Graves, Beyond the Gala is an immersive experience featuring reunions with friends, a live musical performance, dinner, and dancing. The night will be electrified by special guests and celebrate the leadership of this year’s Honorary Chair Elizabeth Redleaf.

A fundraising event like no other, this spectacular evening will help create a more accepting and accessible opera company. Funds raised will ensure all education and training programs are available free of charge; help launch new people-centered initiatives and partnerships; and build on a legacy of cultural, administrative, and artistic innovation that keeps MN Opera at the forefront of the industry.

Over the last two years, we’ve all borne witness to art’s ability to provide sanctuary, comfort, and joy, even in the darkest of times. At MN Opera, we believe it is our responsibility to provide a space where artists, audiences and community can come together to work, create, learn, and dream. As we aim to become an anti-racist and anti-oppressive company, we are discovering our art is made that much stronger when we lead with our values of inclusion, diversity, equity and access throughout the creative process. We hope you join us in this effort as we come together to reach Beyond the Gala.
