Huiyin Tan

Chinese mezzo-soprano Huiyin Tan is currently studying for her doctorate at the University of Minnesota. Recent notable performances include Linda Morales in Hometown to the World, the Monitor and the Abbess in Suor Angelica, Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Ninfe in La Dafne, as well as scenes from La Cenerentola, La Clemenza di Tito, Der Rosenkavalier, Madam White Snake, and Lakmé. Tan has participated in concerts and recitals in New York, Minneapolis, Beijing, Tianjin, Wuhan and Suzhou. She joined the ISING International Young Artists Programme in 2017. Tan earned her master’s degree from the Mannes School of Music and completed her bachelor’s degree at the Tianjin Conservatory of Music.
