David Murakami
David Murakami is a projection designer, screenwriter, and film director focused on integrating emerging technologies with traditional stage performance. Past designs include Dead Man Walking, Champion, Peter Pan, The Little Prince, Heart of Darkness, and Trouble in Tahiti, along with the American premieres of Anya 17, Heart of Darkness, and the world premiere of Luis Valdez’ Valley of the Heart. In addition to his work with Minnesota Opera, David is currently designing Zoot Suit at the Mark Taper Forum, Flight with Opera Parallèle, and directing his sixth feature-length film Morningstar.
