Beth Bayley
Beth Bayley, a native of Toronto, Ontario, is a DMA student at the University of Minnesota. In 2013, she was awarded the Voices of Vienna Scholarship to study music in Austria, and traveled to Salzburg to work with soprano Gracy Bumbry at the Mozarteum University. She was also the winner of the Schubert Club’s Thelma Hunter scholarship. Beth has performed the roles of Alice in Verdi’s Falstaff, Ottavia in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, Suor Angelica, the Mother in Hansel and Gretel, Nancy in Britten’s Albert Herring, and will be performing the role of Marenka in Smetana’s The Bartered Bride with the University of Minnesota Opera Theater in Fall 2013. Beth was also the soprano soloist in her first Messiah in December 2012. Beth received her Master of Music from University of Minnesota Duluth and her Bachelor of Music from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario.
