Opera Connections

Operas are a combination of music and emotion that tell stories of universal human conditions, like love, death, and jealousy. Learn about this storytelling medium in Opera Connections, an eight-week series that explores themes of operas and how they relate to your own experiences. No singing or prior knowledge of opera required.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our creative aging programs “Opera Connections” and “Voices of Opera” are on a temporary hiatus for the Fall 2020 season. In the meantime, take a listen to our Opera Connections Podcast series, where our teaching artists Pablo Siqueiros and Marcia Aubineau dive deep into the story and themes of Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni.

For more information, contact Pablo Siqueiros at psiqueiros@mnopera.org or call 612-342-1604.
