A Day at the Opera

Nail your next audition!

In Minnesota Opera’s intensive day-long career development seminar, high school singers will perform in a masterclass, participate in a mock audition, and learn how to prepare for audition success. Students will also observe an opera rehearsal, tour the scene and costume shops, and go behind-the-scenes at the Opera Center to meet many of the creative, dynamic people involved in creating a professional opera. Finally, a question-and-answer session with Minnesota Opera’s 2019-2020 Resident Artists will provide an opportunity for students to ask working opera singers all their burning questions about about colleges, auditions, and life as a young professional singer!
