Youth Opera Circle is Minnesota Opera’s youth after-school program for young singers in grades 6–8. For the first time, Minnesota Opera will invite middle school students to the recently renovated Luminary Arts Center for a year-long training and performance program. Transportation can be arranged if needed. Youth Opera Circle meets weekly on Monday from 4–6pm.
In your audition, you will be asked to practice a pitch matching exercise and sing a song you of your choice. You may sing either a cappella or with an accompaniment track.

Youth Opera Studio meets weekly on Monday from 7–9pm.
In your audition, you will be asked to sing a 60–90 second cut of a song (musical theater, operetta, art song, or aria). Please bring sheet music for the provided accompanist or contact Fei Chen ([email protected]) if you need assistance in finding sheet music.
