Application – Associate Production Director (Administration)
The Associate Production Director (Administration) (APD-A) is responsible for collaborating with Minnesota Opera’s (MNOP) Vice President of Production (VPP), Technical and Facilities Director (TFD), Costume Director (CD), and the Associate Production Director (Scheduling) (APD-S) in the leadership, management and oversight of all production areas with particular focus on properties supervision, collaborating with directors, designers, staging staff and other members of the production staff to artistically and organizationally understand the properties requirements for a production. The APD-A has responsibility to the day-to-day operations of the production office including contracting, payroll, production related travel, scene shop (scenery, audio, lighting, and video) support, labor overhire coordination, new production employee onboarding, financial tracking and reporting, visa acquisition, venue facilitation, safety committee oversight, and other administrative duties as needed. The APD-A may also take a leadership role in managing productions, educational programming, and special events as assigned. The APD-A is critical to the continued support of the daily operations of the Production Department.
